Please note that the photos attached
are of the 2nd floor slab pour (1st floor slab above lobby) which
was completed July 24th. Construction Progress Photo Slideshow 2 For July 2008 15th July 2008 - Lobby floor will be poured. Construction Progress Photo Slideshow For July 2008 JUNE 10, 2008: You can see that the perimeter parking walls are now poured around 50% of the perimeter and the form work approaching completion on the other 50%...The balance will be poured on June 14th...Nine of the structural columns have also been poured along with the walls of the elevator shaft up-to the lobby level. Contractor has gained at least three days back on the schedule and we are now 32 days behind schedule and should pick-up another 5 days at this rate by the end of the month... Construction Progress Photo Slideshow For June 2008 May 25th, 2008... Steel work and pouring of parking level slab. April: Construction Progress Photo Slideshow For April 2008 MARCH 2008 1.) The stairs adjacent to Monte Carlo are now installed and functioning( residents can use the stairs as of this morning). Steel is complete and one set of stairs painted. Peripheral trim and clean-up work is still outstanding. The Stairs adjacent to the shoe store should be complete to the same stage by Thursday...Both stairs can now be used to access the 2nd level. 2.) Sheet piling installation is 100% complete. A large steel platform has been installed over the site to accommodate movement of the Macro equipment on site which includes an excavator and an auger bit rig for moving steel sections around. 3.) Excavation is now underway with the Macro excavator and trucks are now being loaded and are hauling away excavation. This work is difficult due to the forest of pylons that we are digging around. It is also compounded by the bridge demolition which is now proceeding on the second (two-tiered ) bridge. The bridge demolition will require approximately five more days. Each bridge platform is being cut into four sections and carefully lifted out and down onto a truck for removal from site. we have protected the adjacent shops from falling debris but damage from vibration is continuing....mostly cracked walls and cracked floors. we have met with the affected shop manager and Pusit has agreed to do repairs after sheet piling is removed in about thirty days. Construction Progress Photo Slideshow For March 2008 FEBRUARY 2008: After the site clearing the pylon work was underway. The following spreadsheet is a summary and schedule of the pylon work.
January 26th: Construction status on site is as follows: Demolition of existing structures and site slabs now complete. Perimeter fencing and dust guards installed and now completed. Excavation to 1.5 meter, now 50% complete of a total of 172 pylons 56 are now complete (Approximately 32% of pylons). Pylons are now progressing at 5 pylons per day to a depth of 13 meters. Of the remaining pylons, 84 pylons will be to a depth of 13 meters and the remaining perimeter pylons will be to a depth of 8 meters. Pylon work will be 100% complete by February 17th. At this time the balance of excavation will be taken to a depth of approx. 3 meters, column footings will then be formed and poured, followed by forming and pouring of the parking level slab. Construction Progress Photo Slideshow For January 2008 January 2008 The architect update from Jan 30, 2008 reports that a total of 75 pylons out of the 172 have been completed. Of the 97 remaining pylons, 32 are 8 meter perimeter pylons and 65 are field pylons. At 6 pylons/day for the remaining field pylons this will require 11 days to complete; at 8 pylons/day for the perimeter pylons this will require 4 days to complete. The schedule shows the pylons to be completed by the 15th of February. The only caveat to this is if the structural engineer approves of the change to shift the building back towards Patong Beach Resort 55 cm to get the necessary space between the Bangla Suites and the Rico Hotel and the shop houses opposite the Rico Hotel. With the shift in the building it will require an additional 14 field pylons or an additional 3 days of labour. September/October 2007 Site clearance, car park excavation and walls.
